Transformation comes because you want something better

Even after the success of breaking through, there still has to be a ripening and growing to maturity. Don't worry if someone else looks like they're getting ahead faster than you. Don't compare!

Transformation comes because you want something better. And, transformation is NOT comfortable most of the time.
That's ok.
The question is, are you willing to be uncomfortable while you grow into what's next?

Are you willing to push past your own limiting beliefs?

Are you willing to do the work to break through the shell? That may be a great metaphor because getting out of that shell is only the first step. Then you need to rest (collect yourself and evaluate your next steps) and move forward. Taking that step to get past your comfort zone still leaves a lot of adventure ahead and if you're on track with a dream or project or business that enlivens you, you've got a lot to look forward to as you develop yourself.

What do you need to do right now that will move you forward one step?

Are you willing to look scrawny as you start? Are you willing to "fail forward" into success?

Yeah, well, if you're feeling discouraged because you feel like your life isn't even close to the first arrow, and in fact if your life feels more like the second arrow, then that's great!!! It means you're on track. How cool is that?

The thing is, you have to keep going. Yes. One more step, then one more. Do you have clarity about what you want to accomplish? If not, then maybe your next step is getting honest with yourself about what will really make your heart sing. If your heart sings when you think of your dream, it's a good sign that you are on track!

Sometimes I encourage people to "fail well." In fact, there are times that I've invited people to do the crappiest job at something they possibly can! That is a place to start.

You can do this!
Really!
And you're not in it alone either; you are never alone.

Laya is an author, speaker, and solopreneur. She has thousands of hours of study and experience in both applied and positive psychology. Learning that it's not enough to write a book, you actually have to market in order for the book to get into the hands of a reader to make a difference, she studied online marketing as well as writing copy and branding. She knows the power of a mastermind group and wanted to bring this to her home community. With her son in the IDF and her daughter married, she lives with her husband, dog, and hens with an occasional sighting of the turtle.
