"We left the Level Up Your Marriage workshop very inspired and opened to try some great ideas. Before this class, my husband and I were standing on a cliff; amazingly with the help of Yaron and Laya, we are healing." ~A.C.

Who are Yaron and Laya?

Yaron and Laya have been building their marriage since 1993. Yaron works as a local realtor and also does home repair. Laya is a homemaker and author. Both studied at University of Santa Monica in Applied Psychology and have continued to study many sources for the beautiful nuggets and techniques that would make their marriage wonderful. Just as each individual has a potential, so, too, does a couple. In working on increasing the love, shalom, and joy of their marriage, they want to share what they have learned with their community. It's not just about theory, it's about taking action and enjoying the journey together. They have two grown children and have the merit of being grandparents as well.
The Course: four weeks with a Shabbaton
This workshop series is sharing what we’ve learned and practiced along our journey. We share the mindset and real tools that you can take home and apply to your marriage.
Each module of this workshop builds up to a Shabbaton together where you and your beloved can savor and celebrate each other. The peace that you bring into your lives together brings a special light and healing to the world the same way that water ripples out beyond the place where the pebble hits the pond.
Each module is a stand-alone class—meaning you can come to only part of the course if you want. Of course we’ve designed the course to progress and build with a variety of topics and tools and recommend the whole shebang. The exception is the last module: You must have attended at least two of the other modules (which can include the intro night).
Level Up Your Marriage Intro
This three-hour workshop lays a foundation for setting your intention to create the success you want in your marriage. You’ll hear stories to illustrate the lessons and understand the power each partner has in building the marriage. You’ll receive tools that you can take into your marriage that will keep you on track. The “mini-date” is a hands-on time for sweetening the connection.
Participants have asked us for more (including the Shabbaton) and so we designed this course to share with you:
Module 1—Dancing in the Balance
Marriage is a balance of “you,” “me,” and “us.” In this module we explore this balance in marriage so you can get to that place of shalom, peace in the relationship.
Module 2—Transforming Upset into Peace
Skills that last a lifetime so you can step our of upset quickly and move into understanding and connection. We will never ask you to share anything personal or process difficult issues in the group.
Module 3—Celebration & Splendor
Building on the foundation we’ve set in modules 1 & 2, this class focuses on seeing, experiencing and savoring the beauty in your relationship.
Module 4—Intimacy (Yes, we’re going there!)
This is not about technique. (It is not about halacha.) It is about deepening the trust, strengthening the bond, and experiencing the loving. This class requires courage and commitment. You must have been to at least two of the classes above (Including the intro class and modules 1-3).
