Every time you send out an email, you have an opportunity to advertise for free in a non salesy way. By adding a signature line with live links to your website and also your contact information, you make it easy for people to know what you do and be in touch with you.
After I learned this tip and created my first signature line with links, a dear friend of mine wrote me to tell me that just as she was opening my email, a colleague came by and was talking about his troubles with his teen. She saw my links and recommended my book, which the man bought for his son. You don't know who will see your signature line or the timing. It takes just a few minutes to create and it doesn't cost a thing. You can see my current sig line as of this writing below. ==> Go to the "settings" of your email program (in gmail you'll find it in the upper right corner by clicking on the little cog icon). Then look for signature and write in what you want people to know about you at a glance. ==> Remember: short, sweet, and with live links that you check If you don't already have a signature line going out on all your email, now is a great time to create on and let your email go to work for you! Here's a great little video to watch about the basics to know and integrate into your relationship with your clients or customers so that you can (ethically of course) increase your sales. There is always someone in the Level Up! group who is working on building a website or blog. Blog posts and articles are more interesting and eye catching if there are photos. My favorite source of photos is www.morguefile.com. When you go to the site you can search for the kind of image that would work for your article or post. It's a free download. TIP: Some blogs and website builders will let you put in a link to the photo you want (which MorgueFile will give you) but the kind folks at Weebly (which is who I'm using to host and build my sites) convinced me it's best to download the photo you want from there and then upload it to your website. It keeps your site safer and true to the images you want. TIP: When choosing a photo, don't trip yourself up and spend too much time searching. Trust your sense of the photos that will work and go for it. I'm grateful to have a resource that is free and the people I've met over the years by the very nature of the way the site is run have proven to be very kind. I've also uploaded some photos to "give back" to the project and keep the flow going. You'll find a broad spectrum of photos (like all of these!) to use whether you are looking for food, business, medical, or nature photos, you're likely to find something you can use. The price is right and they are available for immediate download!
