The process of writing is often likened to giving birth. It's something we are compelled to do, something we are passionate about, and maybe even afraid of all at the same time. In this birthing there are also contractions. While typically we work alone, the retreat setting gives you a unique support system. Writing in the sacred space of a kind, understanding, yet strong group calls out to the depths of the writer to tell the truest truth for the greatest expression, healing, and good.
Each participant brings her own writing project. While there are exercises, inspirations, and a guided meditation to spark the creative process, this retreat is about you working on your own project. It is about riding a wave of momentum so you can move forward with your work or dream.
This intensive retreat is a getaway that gives you chunks of writing time, facilitated time to process, share successes, and cheer each other on. You'll be fed simple, catered, kosher, vegetarian food, healthy (and not so healthy) snacks, along with a variety of teas and coffee.
Who is this right for? If you have an earnest intention along with a vision, this is the place to immerse yourself for forward movement in writing. You do not need to be a published author, though the majority of women attending tend to be experienced. This is the right place for you if you are willing to give and receive support. This is a pleasant environment together. It is a memorable and lovely time together. This year, by request, the retreat will be open to illustrators as well!
Be in the momentum of writing in a group setting.
Step into forward movement on that book or project that you need or want to get done.
The next Writers' Retreat Intensive will be Tuesday, January 21, Tzfat, Israel.
